Back to School “Candy” Gummies
Boogies and back-to-school go hand in hand, so getting vitamins and nutrients into your kiddos is a must! These homemade gummies are free from ingredients you can't pronounce and refined sugar, which both create an environment for germs to multiply and thrive. This recipe allows you to add any liquid vitamins you choose, or leave them as is and call them "candy"! Make a batch (or two) and keep them on hand for a "treat" — adult-approved also, they are yummy!
Equipment
- 1 Blender
- 1 Measuring Cup
- 1 Measuring Spoon
- 1 Pot
- 1 Whisk
- 1 Silicone Mold + Dropper
- 1 Bake tray
Ingredients
- 1 cup Watermelon Juice You can use any fresh fruit juice
- 2 tsp Agar Agar Powder We ordered this from Amazon
- Liquid Vitamin C Optional – Drop directly into mold
Instructions
- Grab all ingredients and tools.
- Blend 1.5 cups of cut watermelon in a blender, and strain the liquid into a measuring cup. (We are using the liquid for the recipe not the pulp)
- Add fruit liquid and agar agar powder to a pot and bring to a boil. Let boil for 2 min.
- Lay silicone trays on the bake tray and use the droppers and drop liquid into the molds. If you are adding vitamins, drop these in now. Pop in the fridge and let set for about 1 hour.
- That's it! pop them out and keep in an air tight container!
