Broc + Hemp Heart Pesto
The Super(wo)man of Pestos! Added nutrition, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and YUM! Make a double batch and keep it in the fridge for up to a few weeks!
Equipment
- cutting board, pot, strainer, knife, blender, measuring cups
Ingredients
- 1 head broccoli (about 3 cups)
- 1/4 cup hemp hearts
- 1/2 cup lightly packed basil leaves
- 3/4 cup olive oil OR
- 1/4 cup olive oil +
- 1/2 cup milk of choice
- 1 lemon
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cut broccoli into florets. Add broccoli to a pot, fill with water, and boil. Let boil for 5-6 min, then drain.
- While broccoli is cooking, prep the other ingredients.
- Add broccoli and all other ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth. Add salt + pepper to taste.

Spread on toast for a snack or drizzle over tomato + burrata salad
